Wine Guardian is pleased to announce the opening of its new European Sales office in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The new sales office strengthens the company’s presence in Europe and further boosts its growing global sales. The Swiss office will offer both sales and support for Wine Guardian wine cellar cooling units for all countries in continental Europe from Iceland to Cyprus, from Portugal to Russia, and everything in between.
Torsten Luehr, the Wine Guardian European Sales Manager, will head the new office. Luehr has 14 years’ experience in the wine cellar business, is a certified sommelier through the German Wine Institute in Mainz, Germany, has worked in several first class hotels in the U.S. and Europe, and has sailed around the world as an assistant restaurant manager on cruise ships. “This strategic location in the beautiful city of Schaffhausen, Switzerland positions Wine Guardian to add greater value to our growing customer base in Europe,” said Luehr.
Wine Guardian has been selling in Europe for nearly 10 years and is a division of Air Innovations (headquarters in Syracuse, New York, USA). Air Innovations’ President and CEO, Michael Wetzel, and Wine Guardian’s Export Manager, John Patalita both have long European ties with Wetzel living abroad for several years and Patalita working and living abroad for 12 years.
