Wine Guardian is excited to share that our distributor, Vineyard Wine Cellars, has opened a state-of-the-art showroom and wine storage facility! Our team had the opportunity to visit the facility before it opened and chat with owner Sarah Palmer about the details of the space and how they incorporated Wine Guardian wine cellar cooling units.
Located in Houston’s Design District, the showroom is designed to meet the unique needs of architects, designers, builders, homeowners, and business owners. The showroom is 2,000 square feet and is furnished with racking systems from all their suppliers in a variety of styles and materials.
Wine Cellar Display
As you enter the showroom, you immediately notice a beautiful, functional wine cellar. The cellar is about 50 square feet and is partially enclosed with insulated thermally broken glass. The cellar incorporates a variety of racking styles which can hold approximately 500 bottles of wine. The cellar is set to maintain proper wine storage conditions using a self-contained ducted Wine Guardian unit which is housed in the ceiling.
Refrigerated Wine Lockers and Cabinets
The showroom also features a bank of refrigerated wine lockers perfect for commercial environments like country clubs or restaurants. The lockers are a fully self-contained space with a Wine Guardian unit located in the soffit above. The space is fully insulated, ensuring that it is properly climate controlled.
Adjacent to the lockers is an individual bottle wine cabinet. Like the lockers, the cabinet is fully insulated and features a Wine Guardian wine cellar cooling unit that lives above the space. These cabinets are beautifully lit and can be finished with any racking system of the client’s choosing. These are wonderful storage spaces for residential or hospitality settings.
Wine Storage Facility
Vineyard Wine Cellar’s Houston location features more than just a showroom. In the back, they have a large wine storage facility.
The facility features different sized storage lockers for 250 clients to securely store 6 to 12 bottles. They also offer a few walk-in storage rooms for clients with collections in the thousands. The space is climate controlled with primary and secondary Wine Guardian wine cellar cooling units. Both units are backed up by a generator to ensure the wines maintain optimal long-term preservation temperatures.
These lockers are great for wine lovers who have a wine cellar at home, but need supplemental storage for bottles they want to age for longer periods of time. Vineyard Wine Cellars also uses the lockers to store client’s bottles temporarily while the company is building them a custom wine cellar. To keep everyone’s bottles safe, the facility features a secure building access system and cameras.
We want to thank Vineyard Wine Cellars for letting us visit their facility and for trusting our wine cellar cooling units to protect their client’s precious collections.
