AT Bistro, located in Dallas, Texas, focuses on providing an excellent family dining experience while also educating patrons about French wine. One of the ways they achieve this is through a beautiful wine cellar, designed by Wine Cellar Specialists. Wine Guardian had the opportunity to visit the restaurant and speak with owner Bobby Pollette about how the dining experience is enhanced by this wine cellar and how a Wine Guardian cooling unit helps preserve their collection of French wines.
The wine cellar is a hidden secret, located behind a door in the restaurant’s kitchen. It’s a little surprise for diners who get to take a special trip to personally select their wine. Bobby has noticed that many guests are hesitant to order French wine, feeling embarrassed about mispronouncing the names. The opportunity to see the bottles up close makes the experience more enjoyable and helps ease their nerves, turning the selection process into a fun and memorable part of the meal.
This backroom also serves as a private dining area. Beyond the impressive 600-bottle wine wall, the room also features a granite table, stunning wallpaper, and a frame TV, making it the perfect place to host a special family or business dinner.
Because of the size and amount of glass used in this cellar, Wine Cellar Specialists opted to install a self-contained ducted Wine Guardian wine cellar cooling unit to ensure the wine inside was maintained at proper temperatures. The unit offers quiet operation, unable to be heard from the room, even when the doors are open.
We’d like to thank AT Bistro for letting us film at their location. If you’re in the Preston Center area, be sure to check them out.
