Dwell Contemporary has been designing and building the dwelling spaces of its clients’ dreams since its founding over 30 years ago. The Dwell team is devoted to turning homeowners’ visions into reality—especially when those visions involve custom wine rooms or wine walls. Using Wine Guardian cooling systems, Dwell has created a variety of unique wine storage spaces that perfectly preserve their clients’ collections and elevate their homes.
Dining Room Wine Wall Display
This wine wall was seamlessly integrated into a home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa by the Dwell team. The homeowner’s collection is cooled using a D050 ducted system located in the basement. The display holds up to 426 bottles, illuminated by the wall’s LED backlighting to create a stunning collection showcase.
Elegant Glass Wine Room
Located in Chicago, Illinois, this glass wine room features custom racking capable of storing up to 1,464 bottles. Preservation temperatures are achieved using a D050 ducted system installed discreetly in a mechanical room behind the space.
Converted Bunker
This small cellar was installed in a converted concrete bunker beneath a home in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The Dwell team rose to the challenge of turning the unused space into an area for wine storage—requiring them to saw cut through the existing cement wall to install the Wine Guardian through-the-wall ductless split system.
Classic Wine Room
The Dwell team designed this wine room in Short Hills, New Jersey using Millesime racking atop custom wooden bases. The room stores up to 380 bottles and is kept at optimal storage conditions by a TW18 through-the-wall unit.
Rustic Wine Room
This small wine room—located in Woodbury, Minnesota—stores up to 487 bottles, cooled by a TW18 through-the-wall unit. The entrance features a custom wooden wine door, designed and installed by the Dwell Contemporary team to fit the home’s rustic atmosphere.
