The more time a fur coat spends in cold storage, the longer it will last. Fur storage requires environmental control in order to slow the deterioration process. The oils in fur evaporate slowly in colder temperatures, ideally below 50-55 degrees. Without proper storage, the oils may evaporate quickly and cause the fur to tear more easily.
Proper storage conditions for fur include
Temperatures below 55°F (13°C)*
Relative humidity between 45-55%
