Harvest Custom Wine Cellars and Saunas is a Wine Guardian distributor based out of Corolla, North Carolina that specializes in designing and constructing custom wine cellars. This project they worked on was for a client in McLean, Virginia. The homeowner wanted to show off their wine collection in a contemporary fashion that would reflect the aesthetic of their new home build.
The client chose elevation racking which was custom built with different bottle displays including label forward, neck out, and display rows. The racking features black accents on the soffits and base to coordinate with the build of their modern home. Low LED lighting is routed into these areas and milled at the manufacturer to be tied into each component for easy installation, along with a custom lens cap application. The acrylic material used in the elevation racking diffuses the LED lighting through the wine cradles, creating a stunning glow throughout the room. In total, the wine cellar can hold approximately 750 bottles.
To properly cool this cellar, the team at Harvest Custom Wine Cellars and Saunas installed a Wine Guardian CS050 wine cellar cooling unit. This is a ductless split system that easily installs into the ceiling of a wine space to provide optimal airflow to keep wine at ideal temperature conditions for long-term preservation.
