Vineyard Wine Cellars is a national Wine Guardian distributor that specializes in wine cellar design and construction.
Recently they were tasked with a wine wall project in Houston, Texas. The client wanted to replace a built-in buffet with an area to store and display their fine wine collection.
Vineyard Wine Cellars included double-deep wine racks in the wine wall with the capacity to store over 110 bottles of wine. Below the racking is a new cabinetry that can be used as decoration space or to store excess wine. To ensure the wine wall stays aesthetically consistent with the room its in, the team included a quartz countertop that matches the countertop in the kitchen and the adjacent bar. The Alamo Random stone behind the racking adds an interesting contrast to the space.
This wine wall is not only beautiful, but functional as well. A Wine Guardian wine cellar cooling system was installed to cool the space down to optimal long-term wine storage conditions. Inside the wine wall is a remote interface controller which consistently monitor the temperature and humidity of the space and adjusts the conditions if they are out of an ideal range.
