The Crystal Springs Resort is a luxury hotel and golf getaway located in Hamburg, New Jersey. In 2011, Crystal Springs contracted Vintage Makers—a Wine Guardian distributor based in Hudson, New Hampshire—to build their Napa Wine Room inside the Crystal Springs Clubhouse. The Napa Room’s elegant custom racking—capable of holding up approximately 10,000 bottles—was fashioned by the Vintage Makers team from mahogany with a clear lacquer finish. The space is cooled by a Wine Guardian D200 ducted cooling system.
In 2021, ten years after the Napa Room was completed, the resort’s ownership called on Vintage Makers once again to convert the Napa Room into a wine shop called the Curator. The Vintage Makers team kept most of the original racking intact while adding a central tasting table, checkout area, and additional wine displays to meet the space’s new retail needs.
